July 2, 1991 Axl Rose provoked a riot at the now Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, 60 people are hurt in the incident.
It all started when Axl got angry over a person with a camera the show in the crowd. He jumped out into the crowd at the person, returned to the stage, walked off, and ended the show before the band finished their planned set. The fans, angry at Axl’s departure and the band refusing to finish their set, rioted. Several thousands of dollars in damage was done to the amphitheater and 60 people were hurt.
Axl along with GNR would never play St. Louis again until 26 years later on their reunion tour.
