Get Ready For Lots of Traffic for July 4th

If you’re planning on heading out of town for the Fourth of July weekend, prepare yourself for some serious traffic. According to AAA a record 49 million Americans are planning to travel over the holiday weekend, and 41.4 million of those travelers will be traveling by car.

If you’re going to be one of those people on the road, here’s what you need to know before you go:

  • Do not leave on July 3rd! This will be the worst time to travel and your trip will likely take four times longer.
  • Don’t plan to head home on the 7th. Leave a day earlier or even later so you don’t get stuck in major traffic on the drive home.

Also, AAA says to get your car checked out by a mechanic before you leave. They estimates 367,000 motorists will be stranded with car trouble.

Safe travels no matter where you’re headed and what you do!
