Americans Have a Bottomless Appetite for Wings

Today (1/16) is International Hot & Spicy Food Day, which is perfect considering a new study find the average number of chicken wings eaten in a single sitting has doubled in the past two years.

The 2017 survey said Americans ate just over 7 wings, now it’s 16 per sitting. And yes, boneless counts as a wing with 53% agreeing on that. So no, they’re not chicken nuggets.

Salad was deemed the best side for wings, followed by chips and salsa, and mozzarella sticks.
